Volunteers needed at Tuition Day Centre for children and young people with autism.

We are looking for friendly, reliable volunteers to support a small group with basic life skills and learning activities.

This role involves:

• Setting up resources
• Supporting activities and engaging young people
• Helping to plan and/or run activities
• Accompanying walks to parks/shops
• Liaising with tutor lead to ensure craft resources are purchased and available during sessions
• Feedback sessions
• Training in Autism/SEN
• DBS Check will be carried out for all volunteers

Skills required:

• Excellent communication skills
• Experience of volunteering or working with children and young people
• Car parking is available

Schedule:
Day shift – 2 days per week, 5 hours
